Job description
We are in search of a cheerful, team oriented person to cook in our farm-to-fork breakfast & lunch Cafe.
The Flower Farm is a family owned and operated property that has several great businesses running simultaneously. We not only have a Cafe, but also a Bed & Breakfast, a Local Wine Tasting room, Nursery, Event Center, and a working orchard and garden. We also cater many of the events here. We are focused on Local, Seasonal & Fresh food, both in the Cafe and in Flower Farm Catering.
This opportunity is for a person that has all of the following skills, characteristics and availability:
• Available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as part of your regular schedule- likely 35-40 hours per week, mostly days and some nights.
• A good amount of knowledge of cooking to order as well as food prep for a small fast-paced kitchen.
• Interest in creating dishes using real & fresh foods, utilizing a farm to table approach.
• A great team player- you are open to learn, teach and be a positive influence on our awesome staff and customers.
• Organized in setting up the kitchen, being ready for business and executing great, eye appealing food in a timely manner.
• A positive attitude- willing to step in wherever needed, supporting the entire team at the Flower Farm.
• Commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
• Comfortable with talking to our Cafe guests and building relationships with our regulars.
• Honest and highly reliable.
• Catering skills/experience a plus!
• Social media and/or scheduling and planning of small events also a plus!
