12 Troy LLC is currently searching for a lover of coffee, who demonstrates superior hospitality, to join our little pecks team as Lead Barista. He/She will serve as a role model, trainer & leader to a team dedicated to hospitality & craft drink preparation. Upon opening, the little pecks team will provide coffee & espresso beverages not only to little pecks guests, but also to guests of Lucas Confectionery & Peck's Arcade
Job description
Compensation: Full-time, Hourly Position, DOE
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
**include, but are not limited to**
MAINTAIN
◦Product inventory & place replenishment orders
◦Regular communication with Tandem Coffee Roasters (our coffee provider) regarding latest rotations & releases
◦High standards of hospitality & beverage creation by educating, coaching & developing new & current team members
LEAD
◦A team of hospitality-focused, trained baristas to show your café how a highly skilled & hospitable barista approaches his/her work in preparing drinks, serving guests & assisting teammates
◦Develop strong & successful working relationships with co-workers & promote a spirit of inclusivity & teamwork among all team members in your café
◦Organize & lead public coffee-related events to reach out to new guests & engage existing guests to have a stronger connection to your café
EDUCATE
◦Train new members of front of house beverage team
◦Offer positive &/or constructive feedback to team members on the quality & consistency of drink preparation, cleanliness, professionalism & customer service
◦Your team & Peck's Arcade/Lucas Confectionery staff on each latest rotation of coffee offerings (origin, attributes, preparation, tasting notes, etc) through cuppings & effective communication
COLLABORATE
◦Chef de Cuisine - regarding food menu changes & daily features, maintaining POS system & menu programming updates
◦General Manager of Restaurants - to develop a rotating retail coffee program, releasing new coffee offerings in your café & developing sound training & quality control programs for new staff

ADDITIONAL
The Lead Barista position is an excellent opportunity for someone who has already demonstrated a high level of skill & performance in hospitality & wants to help nurture others to do the same. Only apply if you love quality coffee, consider yourself a perfectionist, are excited about learning & leading by example for others. Previous experience working with coffee in a professional setting is not required, but 'geeking out' about coffee is.
