Job description
Cold Pressed Juice and Raw Food Commissary Manager
Responsibilities:
Director of day-to-day operation and management of production kitchen, working closely with the chief officers to lead team members to effectively direct work flow and maintaining quality control.
- Day-to-day: opening and closing the facility, scheduling production, and maintaining and inspecting the sanitary conditions of the production space and equipment on a daily basis- Develop and improve an efficient work flow- Hands-on participation in production- Conduct employee training and enforce safety and sanitary regulations- Work with chief officers to manage supply chain logistics (sourcing and procurement, and logistics)- Maintain and organize supplies and inventory- Oversee and organize incoming orders and schedule delivery, communicating with the Store Managers- Must demonstrate fiscal responsibility
- Develop, direct and implement GMPs, HACCP plan, and other local/state/federal compliance and sanitation rules, regulations, and requirements- Ensure all traceability requirements are met through meticulous recordkeeping- Communicate and demonstrate satisfactory quality control to State or FDA inspectors- Ensure proper labeling and dating of product
Must possess:- ServSafe Food Protection Certificate - Experience in high volume kitchen or food service production (minimum 2 years preferred)- Strong written and verbal communication skills, bi-lingual ( English-Spanish) prefered- Ability to communicate with team and management in an articulate and professional manner- Leadership skills with the ability to improvise, prioritize, and delegate efficiently- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word - Ability to adapt to a rapidly shifting structure and environment of a start-up company- Willingness to be a team player in multiple positions outside of the confines of the "given responsibilities." A true utility player.
An IDEAL candidate possesses :- Experience and knowledge of food manufacturing- Experience and knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and DOH/ DOA inspections- Knowledge and deep interest in Raw/Vegan Cuisine and Juicing
