Do you love cheese? Yep.. thought so. We are happy to announce that we are growing our team of passionate cheesemongers/fromager(e)s!
Under the leadership of Maitre Fromager and cheese author/educator Max McCalman, we are building Artisanal Fromagerie and Bistro into the premier cheese destination of New York City. This is a great chance for both experienced cheesemongers and aspiring cheese enthusiasts alike to be a part of this exciting new adventure, as we expand our offerings and relocate to a larger space in the fall.
The job entails:
-Maintaining the cheese counter, ensuring that the cheeses look fresh, organized, and happy.
-Advising both restaurant and retail customers in finding their perfect cheeses.
-Assembling/serving cheese plates and ringing up retail transactions.
-Slicing charcuterie.
-Setting up or closing down the counter (depending on the shift).
-Helping to receive deliveries and maintain an accurate inventory.
Professional cheese experience is a major plus, but we are open to training up the right person - so if you're looking to break into the cheese biz, consider this your chance!
