Farm Catskills (FC) is currently seeking a contract program manager to connect our neighbors with fresh nutritious farm and homegrown foods through community centered farm and food programming.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager works independently and collaboratively with Farm Catskills’ Board of Directors, to manage activities in the following areas:

• Farm-to-school and other high-impact community food programming, research and evaluation
• Grant/contract management and grant and report writing
• Publications/materials development and communications activities
• Serving as liaison and FC representative at meetings and events, and establishing and maintaining partnerships to advance FC’s mission

EXPERIENCE

The Program Manager should offer farm-to-school, agricultural and gardening knowledge and experience, as well as excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills and the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. Experience in non-profit administration is preferred.

SALARY RANGE/LOCATION/TRAVEL

• This is currently a part-time (approximately 10 hours per week) independent contractor (freelancer, 1099) position with growth potential. Rate is commensurate with experience and qualifications
• As an independent contractor, Farm Catskills’ program manager will perform the position’s duties from their own office
• Regional travel may be required. Mileage is reimbursable
