Der Pioneer is a Kensington, Brooklyn, based European pastry and coffee shop opening in January 2017. Besides European-style pastries (think house-made croissants, macarons, cakes and fine patisserie) we'll also serve a small (but growing) seasonal breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. We'll be open seven days a week from 7 am to 6 pm. Our goal is it to become an all day hang-out for our neighborhood community. Der Pioneer is the lovechild of NYC fine dining veterans Bjoern Boettcher (pastry) and Greg Barbiero (savory).
Job description
Der Pioneer is looking for an experienced pastry cook but is willing to train somebody with the right attitude. If you have a love for fine European pastries, attention to detail and want to learn from a highly accomplished top NYC pastry chef, send us your resume with a short note why you would be a great fit. We are looking for somebody who's reliable, positive and hands-on. We are a new business and there's plenty of room to grow for the right person. This is an early morning position.
Compensation
