Job description
PURPOSE: To prepare an abundance of the highest quality bread maintain a level of cleanliness exceeding health code standards.
REPORTS TO: Bakehouse Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Bread Preparation: Accurately and consistently follow recipes preparing bread as directed. Bake items in an efficient and safe manner; complete baked goods before leaving shift. Follow proper rotation, storage, and labeling procedures.
Communication and cooperation. Record all losses and production in appropriate place. Alert Manager of issues, low supplies, or out-of-stocks of basic ingredients and supplies. Read Manager logs and use logs as a communication tool. Follows Manager's instructions, policies, and procedures, paying close attention to detail.
Equipment and work area maintenance. Keep work area clean and organized; consistently complete cleaning duties. Includes all Bakehouse equipment, fixtures, and shelves (inside and out).
Safety. Work in a safe manner, following company safety rules and equipment safety procedures. Advise Manager of equipment repair needs.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., several times daily

Continuous standing and moving for 8 hour shift

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of breads

Baking experience

Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills, cooperative, flexible, and respectful of coworkers

Able to follow instructions accurately and timely.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, under $15/hr
