Job Description:
The Head of Culinary Innovation will be responsible for developing all of the culinary content for The Culinistas. You will be responsible for designing the weekly menu items & experimenting with new recipes and concepts to differentiate the business. This is a food focused position, with a true emphasis on creating healthy, vibrant and fresh meals in a highly efficient and innovative kitchen.
The Head of Culinary Innovation will report to the Chief Culinary Officer.
Your Everyday:

Develop strategy for in-house culinary innovation (taking into consideration menu parameters) & streamline processes & procedures to maximize output

Develop strategy for menu optimization (quality, cost, ease, etc.) and create recipes to meet these specifications to ensure a consistent food brand

Determine cost & ingredients associated with each menu item

Design recipes that accommodate for allergens and common diets

Develop curriculum for chef interviews and assist with selecting chefs to interview and on-board

Work with Kitchen Manager to serve premium clients

Maintain budget for test kitchen, including menu items, groceries for recipe development and chef interviews

Provide weekly grocery list to Kitchen Manager to maintain a well equipped kitchen

Work alongside recipe testers to verify new dishes and concepts

Conduct regular inspections for food quality and safety

Build relationships within the chef/food community
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 to $100,000
