ISSUE NO. 471

A FAMILIAR FEELING . . .

Somehow we can't escape it. The nights get cooler and darker earlier and there is that unmistakable feeling in the air. It's time to trade in the bounty of peaches for bunches of grapes. And while we hold onto summer we know that Autumn is creeping its way in.

We love September. It's both sleepy and harried. There's the feeling that something is ending, but other things are just beginning. The days feel remarkably pleasant and the nights lend themselves to getting cozy. There seems to be more bounty than any other month. Tomatoes and corn are still ripe for the picking and apples are starting to make their way to the farm stand.

You can straddle the parts that you like best about each season. There is a lot of glory in that.

To the bounty and beauty of September,
