Company description
Asgaard Farm & Dairy is a diversified family farm located between the Champlain Valley and the High Peaks regions of the Adirondack Park in northeastern New York. This historic property was once the home of Rockwell Kent, well-known artist, writer, adventurer, political activist and farmer. Our anchor business is a goat dairy and creamery. We have been producing award-winning farmstead cheeses since 2008. Complementing our goat husbandry are grass-fed and grass-finished beef together with pastured pork, poultry and eggs. We are also part of the American Tree Farm System and responsibly manage large tracts of adjoining woodlands. Sustainability driven by regenerative farming practices, renewable energy, excellent products and community engagement is at the heart of Asgaard’s mission.
Our farm is situated along the east branch of the Ausable River, about 25 miles from Lake Placid, NY to the southwest and Plattsburgh, NY to the northeast. It is a 2-hour drive to Montreal, QC, to Burlington, VT or to Albany, NY. A vibrant community of small farms populates this corner of the Adirondacks. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and the area offers an abundance of recreational and cultural pursuits.
