Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to add to an awesome team here at 61 Local. We serve a seasonal menu highlighting excellent products from local producers. Ideal candidates will:
Have a passion for sustainable food and community
Practice exceptional customer service at all times
Approach interfacing customers, working with food purveyors and kitchen work with enthusiasm and professionalism
Have a high level of organization and ability to multitask
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Be able bodied and comfortable on their feet
Be an excellent communicator
Be a team-player, willing to contribute to a variety of kitchen and service tasks
Take initiative and work hard
Have a sense of humor
Have weekend availability
Previous kitchen experience and a familiarity with DOH standards is preferred.
This position will include both prep work shifts and food service shifts. Full or part time. Prep work will include working under the supervision of the chef and sous chef to prepare house-made items, stocking and prepping produce, and cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment. Food service work includes making menu items to order, stocking, cleaning, maintaining equipment and communicating with other staff to ensure that food service operates seamlessly.
