Conservation Program Supervisor: Greenwich Land Trust Youth Corps (GLT YC)
Temporary 10-week position with the Greenwich Land Trust from June 15th to August 21st 2015. Hourly wage of $16; 8-hour workday; no additional benefits. Must provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed).
The GLT YC provides fourteen young people (aged 15+) with a first paid "real job" that develops work skills, deepens their understanding of conservation issues, serves their community, and provides a springboard to careers in environmental-related fields.The Conservation Program Supervisor will work with GLT stewardship staff in developing a detailed program plan and preparing work projects for youth participants. During the core eight weeks of the program, they will direct work projects, contribute related educational content, and coordinate any outside experts.
