Job Description The Local Grocer is a natural foods store, cafe, deli and bakery with an emphasis on organic, local, and allergen free foods.  Owned by a clinical herbalist and permaculture gardener, we pride ourselves on our local produce offerings and our quality herb, supplement and natural personal care selection.  We also have a yoga studio, wellness center and eco-gift shop on-site. 

We are presently hiring a General Manager to oversee the daily operations.  We are looking for an experienced, organized, health-oriented professional with experience in human resources, retail or food service management, creative marketing, and heart-centered leadership.  An interest in organics and holistic health is essential. 

This is a multi-faceted position ideal for an experienced, mature, self-motivated individual who enjoys variety, meaning, independence, and challenge in their work.  Duties will include but not be limited to:

• personnel management
• scheduling
• payroll budgets and reports
• financial reports
• marketing
• staff training
• community outreach
• being responsible for the smooth running of day to day   operations
• maintaining our high standards for genuinely friendly, professional and caring customer service.  

This is a full time, salaried position.  Performance bonuses, paid vacation, sick days and great in-house benefits are also offered.   

We are located in the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire.  This is a beautiful tourist destination for outdoor enthusiasts.  Downhill skiing, cross country skiing, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking are some of the outdoor recreational activities we are known for.  There is also a large metaphysical and holistic health community in the Valley.
