About the Position:
This merchandising assistant’s primary responsibility is maintaining shelf presence, delivering in-store customer service, promoting the brand portfolio and performing demos. Our line of products currently retails throughout the United States and through this role you will have the opportunity to gain experience working in a dynamic sales environment. Working as part of a national merchandising team passionate about our products, you’ll be accountable for ensuring that our brands are presented in the best possible displays to attract customers and drive sales. 

Partner Supermarkets: Whole Foods, Roundys, Meijer

POSITION DETAILS:

• 20 hours per week
• Responsible for building customer relationships with the ultimate goal of increasing points of availability, promotional displays, merchandising and ultimately, volume per outlet. 
• Monitor volume per outlet to understand areas for improvement and reasons for success.
• Ensure best product placement and presence (eye level placement, high traffic, multiple points of distribution with premium merchandising).
• Organizing, rotating and stocking shelves during each store visit. This includes following a manager’s direction on transferring cases of product from the backroom to the store’s sales floor.
• Conduct product sampling/demonstrations on assigned weekdays and weekends.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor with the public and store personnel when performing your duties.
• Must be able to work two days, each 8 hour shifts, taking inventory and completing merchandising audits.
• Must be able to work weekends performing product demos

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Dependable, extroverted, diplomatic person.
• 1+ year of retail merchandising experience a plus.
• Customer focused - enjoy meeting new people, learning about them and their business.
• Exceptional professional work ethic.
• Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills and excellent written, oral and listening skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to manage time and self supervise.
• Good presentation abilities.
• Complete accurate and timely paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, and expense reports
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and a reliable vehicle (regional travel to stores in geographic area required.)
