Owned and operated by the Dimin family, Sea to Table partners with 48 independent fishermen and commercial docks all around the country, shipping their catch directly to over 1,000 chefs at restaurants and institutions in 46 states.
We source wild, domestic seafood that is sustainably harvested and traceable directly to the point of landing. Bypassing the traditional distribution chain, Sea to Table creates more valuable connections for fishermen, chefs, and diners. Job description Sea to Table believes in improving our food system. We believe this model adds more value to chefs, consumers, and our hard-working food producers.
With these values in mind, Sea to Table, a certified B-Corp, has developed a national network of independent fishermen and small-scale docks and processors from every major domestic fishery to source wild caught, sustainable seafood. From these locations, fish that lands today is shipped directly to our chef partners all around the country, arriving the next day. By forging this direct connection, we help chefs and diners know exactly where their fish is coming from, who caught it, and how it was caught. This model also helps fishermen and docks gain access to better markets beyond their local distribution.
Over the last three years, we have grown to serve over 50 colleges and universities across the country, and are hiring a full time sales representative to continue to grow this channel.
Part of this growth strategy will involve working with contracted food service providers, national broadline distributors, and adding new large scale food service markets like healthcare, stadiums, convention centers, government and military establishments.
Role: National Sales Rep for Institutional Accounts
Responsibilities:
- Lead generation and increased sales in target market
- Represent S2T at industry events and trade shows as needed
- Achieve agreed upon sales goals
- Participate in regularly scheduled S2T meetings
- Reports to Managing Director
- Four years of outside sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to increase customer base through lead generation, cold calling and consultative selling
- Ability to maintain relationships with existing customer base to increase sales
- Experience in national foodservice sales, brokering, and/or distribution are a plus, along with a strong industry network
- Experience with wild, domestic, sustainable seafood is a plus
- Passion for sustainability and improving food systems
