Job Description Eagle Ridge Ranch is a family run cattle ranch in Casper, WY. Currently the ranch runs 400 cows, and 300 yearlings on 23,000+ acres. The ranch uses holistic grazing practices to better its pastures. Additionally, Eagle Ridge Ranch has irrigated fields where we grow alfalfa hay and other grasses. Through the irrigated fields the ranch focuses on soil health to improve production and water holding capacity.

Job Description: Eagle Ridge Ranch is looking for seasonal help during the growing season. Potential employees should expect to learn about and participate in all aspects of the ranch. This includes, but is not limited to, planting, irrigating, harvesting, building fence, attending ranch activities (such as brandings), helping herd cattle and more. Additionally future employees will learn how to operate a tractor and other pieces of heavy equipment. Eagle Ridge Ranch is a small ranch, employees will work closely with the owners. This will allow potential employees a great in depth look at operating a sustainable cattle ranch. Key to the position will be a willingness and enthusiasm to learn.

Schedule: The position is seasonal, full-time from May to June. This time frame is flexible based on the applicant's needs. Work hours are 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Each day is a new day and the work changes as the season progresses.

Compensation: $1100 a month plus room and board. 

Qualifications: We are looking for applicants who are inspired by the complexities of farming. Applicants that want to learn and want to work are ideal. Applicants who are responsible, able to work independently, communicate well, and work safely are desired. They should be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Previous farm experience is a plus.
