Culture magazine seeks a highly motivated and organized Editorial Assistant with strong writing skills. This creative individual will participate in all stages of the publication process, working closely with the Associate and Managing Editors to produce print content and with the Digital Editor to produce online content. This is an entry-level position.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Write features and/or front-of-book pieces, as needed
• Proofread and fact check magazine articles
• Write and/or upload online content, as needed
• Write new entries and revise old entries in our online Cheese Library
• Keep tabs on the food publishing world and bring fresh ideas to the table

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and abilities:

• Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and a willingness to embrace change and shift gears
• Commitment to working collaboratively in a team
• Interest or a background in the cheese/food industry or food publications preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Wordpress a plus
