Founded in 2008, we are a staff of 8 to 12 employees (varies seasonally) that enjoys a healthy, friendly work environment with lots of camaraderie and lots of hard work. Job description The Hudson Valley Seed Co seeks an experienced farmer to serve as part of our farm crew, stewarding approximately eight acres of vegetable and flower crops grown primarily for seed and, to a limited extent, for fresh market.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Sowing, cultivating, and maintaining field crops, both by hand and by tractor;

  • interest in having a recurring seasonal farm position with winters off.
The position is a nine-month position, beginning approximately March 1st and continuing until November 30th. Indoor work helping with various seed company operations may or may not be available during the winter months.
