For 21 years, Cowgirl Creamery has produced a variety of fresh, bloomy, and aged cheeses, using milk from neighboring dairies and championing their local milkshed in Marin and Sonoma Counties.   Two decades, dozens awards, two creameries and two retails stores later, Cowgirl Creamery continues to act as an advocate for sustainable agriculture and artisan cheese.

Tomales Bay Foods, home of the Cowgirl Creamery, is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person for our Sales Support position. This role is a critical part of the success of the sales office and is responsible for keeping support services running smoothly. As part of the Wholesale Sales team, this position interacts with many other departments including Operations, Marketing, and Accounting.

This is an ideal position for a Cheesemonger looking to step away from the counter, but keep their feet firmly planted in the industry. 

Who We Are: Tomales Bay Foods has been introducing retailers, chefs and wineries to exceptional artisan cheese and accompaniments for over 20 years!  In addition to selling our own Cowgirl Creamery Cheeses, we are proud to represent artisanal cheesemakers and food producers from across the US and abroad.

What You’ll Do:

• Generate customer invoices
• Work with Regional Whole Foods stores to gather and compile orders
• Manage customer credits including filing claim, tracking, and follow-up
• Oversee New Customer set-up and credit applications
• Create and send newsletters to Wholesale customers
• Assist in the planning and execution of Wholesale classes and open house events
• Receive and welcome guests into the office

What You’ll Bring:

• Prior cheese industry experience is a big, big plus
• A positive, upbeat attitude with an organized, efficient, and proactive work style
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Quickbooks experience is preferred
• Experience using Google Drive, especially Sheets
• Familiarity with Constant Contact, or similar email marketing tools
