Harvest & Revel is a full service event catering company based in Brooklyn, NY. We provide meals that are both elevated and approachable, indulgent and health-conscious. And with every detail- we curate creative culinary experiences to help facilitate refreshingly positive, artful, and satisfying events for all occasions. We make many of our own breads, syrups, pickles, jams, dressings, and sauces. And when we don't, we source from the artisanal producers that we believe are the most talented and ethical of New York.  

We consciously step away from our culture's industrialized agriculture, over-processing, and fast food- and instead, work with organic and "slow" ingredients from local farms whenever possible. Creating and serving food that is ethical as well as delicious is at the core of our company.

We are a woman-owned, collaboratively-run company working out of a collaborative commercial kitchen space in Crown Heights- that is owned by another woman-owned catering company- where we share responsibilities and support each other, rather than competing with each other.

It is a kitchen in which everyone- from the dish washer to the chefs- is treated with warmth and respect. And where family meal is not just cheap food- it is the quality organic ingredients we feed our clients. 

We work together as a team, inviting our staff to give feedback on our leadership, communication systems, and anything else they have ideas about improving. Job description We are growing and hiring for two new positions:
CO-CHEF LEAD and SALES DIRECTOR
 
Are you passionate about whole foods, ethical sourcing, creative cooking, and mindful eating? Looking to flex your creativity as either a Co-Chef Lead with part-to-full time work OR as a part-time Sales + Marketing Director in a start-up atmosphere with long-term growth opportunities?  

Harvest & Revel is growing and we are looking to hire an additional Creative Co-Chef Lead AND a Sales + Marketing Director to join our team! 

Creative Co-Chef Lead:
We are looking for a dynamic, communicative, outgoing Chef to join our team who has ordering and sourcing experience, inventory management experience, and who wants to collaborate with our current chefs on creating elevated and creative menus for client celebrations. 

The new Co-Chef Lead will work directly with the Owner, other Co-Chef Lead, and kitchen prep chefs primarily doing food preparation; ingredient sourcing + ordering; load out for events; compiling, recording, and testing recipes; as well as formalizing and maintaining our inventory system and kitchen operations. They will also have the opportunity to work as paid floor staff and/or BOH lead for catering events.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with our current chefs on creating elevated and creative menus for client celebrations. 
  • Ordering food ingredients and sourcing/building relationships with new purveyors based on Harvest current standards.
  • Assisting with kitchen load out and food transfer from truck to dolly to venue. Must be able to lift 15+lbs frequently in the kitchen and and at events.
  • Assisting Harvest & Revel team with inventory management of packaging materials, perishable food items, and dry storage items. 
  • Contributing to the growth of developing the company and expanding it's offerings- the sky is the limit!

  • Would never imagine being late.
  • Have a flexible schedule and don't mind evening, early morning, or weekend work.

Though not required, preference goes to candidates that can drive and have a car that they don't mind using for event work. Preference also goes to candidates looking to commit to the position (assuming it's a good fit for both parties) for at least one year. The position is paid hourly commensurate with experience. 
 
Sales + Marketing Director:
WE ARE ALSO LOOKING for a  a dynamic, communicative, outgoing part-time Sales + Marketing Director! The new Sales Director will work directly with the Owner to expand our client base + reach through new client outreach and marketing.
 
The new Sales + Marketing Director will have a major focus in garnering new client business for the company which will include developing marketing plans, client + sales outreach to new networks, and developing relationships with event planners. There will be a strong emphasis on developing corporate relationships, venue partnerships, and community organization partnerships. Compensation will be hourly + commission on new client events. They will also have the opportunity to work as paid floor staff for catering events, if desired.
