Our team seeks an independent and sales-minded individual to help build our new store account base in the New York metro area.

This unique role allows you to make your own hours each week around selling our craft pints of ice cream into a wide variety of stores of all sizes, throughout Manhattan and Queens. As a Lotus Scoop Sales Representative you are out in the city or making calls and appointments from your home office. It is a perfect position for a person who works well alone and likes to be free of a formal office environment, but also intersects regularly with others to help meet goals and improve processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Our ideal candidate is extremely financially goal-oriented, friendly but incredibly persistent, creative and organized. You know how to strategize and then you know how to execute to close numerous new accounts per week. Closed accounts means money in your weekly paycheck.

The ability to learn to work with basic sales software is required.  Great phone skills and organized regular updating and reporting is a must.

The role does not require formal sales experience, but it does require a quick mastery of how to swiftly build an account base. And, swiftness is key, since we are a growing brand with lots of competitors. Finally, a love for NYC and its diverse population is also a must, because our sales approach is community-centric.

Regular access to a car is a must, as the role requires coverage of large swaths of the city, with a specific neighborhood (block by block) focus.

Fluency in Spanish will be super helpful and puts you at a massive advantage to make money. It is not a requirement but will prove to be a real advantage.


COMPENSATION & HOURS:

The base salary includes car expenses and tolls plus an hourly wage between $20-25.  Added to the base (includes weekly per store sales commission) per week.  Commission is calculated based on number of stores closed. The hours are daytime but flexible and must coordinate with the stores/buyers' hours with whom you interface to close daily sales. We negotiate weekly sales expectations on Friday afternoon for the following week and pay according to results.
