Job description

We are seeking a Pastry Cook / Baker to join our team at Reynard. The Pastry Cook will report directly to the Pastry Chef, and will be making desserts and pastries for the restaurant and hotel events in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU OFFER:

-You are familiar with and knowledgeable of all aspects of baking, cooking, dessert presentation, and seasonal products.

-At least 1 year of experience in pastry and/or baking- this is a great opportunity to learn more about all aspects of plated desserts and pastries.

-You are a self starter and you have great communication skills. We are looking for someone who can work interdependently within our small team.

-Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.

-A passion for local, sustainable, responsible farm-to-table cuisine.

-The ability to work 40 hours per week, including open weekend and early morning availability.

-Interest in becoming a part of and embodying the creative, dynamic and unique culture of Wythe Hotel.

 

Position Responsibilities:

-Opening duties: This position involves baking off viennoiserie, spinning ice creams daily, and maintaining an organized and clean prep area.

-Daily pastry production- This includes ice cream and morning pastry production, viennoiserie prep, and hotel event and restaurant prep.
