The bakery was founded in 1994 by friends Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes.  At the time, Connie was in banking and Pam in fashion. The two, both competitive swimmers, trained together for the Ironman and—not surprisingly, as their tireless workouts left them feeling starved for great food— they began a passionate dialogue about creating the world’s greatest chocolate chip cookie. Levain Bakery is looking for hardworking and fun-loving candidates to join the team at our Hamptons location over the summer. We have been selling New York's most popular cookies, baked goods and breads for over 20 years. Our Hamptons staff works behind the counter helping customers, many of whom have been regulars since the store opened in 2000, and learns how to prep and bake all of our delicious breads, pizzas and pastries. 

Things to Know:

-The bakery is located in the village of Wainscott in the township of East Hampton

-We are flexible with timing, but are ideally looking for staff who can work full-time from June-August.

-Convenient housing is available if needed

Responsibilities:

-Provide a high level of customer service and hospitality

-Maintain product knowledge of all of our baked goods, breads and pizzas

-Take initiative, be proactive, and ask questions

-Be a team player and a positive influence on others

-Stay calm and composed under pressure and have a good sense of humor  along the way!
