About Nobilis Finer Diner at Point San Pablo Harbor

 

Point San Pablo Harbor is a small, hidden harbor on San Pablo Bay at the end of a windy, bumpy road with exceptional views and a charming diner called Nobilis. (www.pspharbor.com; www.nobilis-restaurant.com) The Harbor and the path to get there evoke an unusually remote feeling as if time forgot about this place, but it's in Richmond. Nobilis opened in 2018 and as word has spread, is growing in popularity quickly. (Nobilis has been reviewed twice by the East Bay Express.)

 

Nobilis offers classic waterfront diner fare and comfort food made from scratch with mostly organic, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The menu gets tweaked as needed to accommodate seasonal availability of ingredients, but the core menu mostly stays the same.

 

As a new restaurant, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with the company as the Harbor develops its other offerings in the coming years in the Club and lawn area for private parties, concerts and weddings.

 

We are presently looking for a Line Cook to join our team of 3. You will enjoy great views, an open style kitchen and a fun environment while working at a small diner-style restaurant with a large deck for outdoor seating.

Job description

Days/Hours for winter include:

Tuesdays: 4 hours to prep.

Fridays 9-4

Sat 8-4

Sun 8-4
 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food for service and cook menu items according to Chef’s instructions.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Ability and willingness to shift quickly between stations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Ensure that food comes out to Chef's standards; high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Clean up station and put away leftover ingredients according to proper food storage.
 

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with a variety of common kitchen equipment (e.g. convection ovens, range, salamander, mixer, coolers).
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate; Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Good knife skills.
  • Energetic, positive, friendly attitude and willingness to work with accuracy and speed.
  • Ability to work midweek and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Minimum 3 years line cook experience.
 

 

Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $15.00 - $17.00 Application instructions
