Do you want to join a growing, fast-paced and dynamic company? We are a London stealth startup seeking a self-motivated and engaging Business Development Lead for our team in New York.

 

As Business Development Lead you will identify, develop, and cultivate opportunities to grow our app user base primarily in New York City and the surrounding areas. You will be working closely with the City Lead and Growth Team to achieve the company’s monthly business goals. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment, and established contacts from previous experiences in the hospitality industry.

 

The role requires a self-starter who is energetic and friendly, with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to quickly work through bi-weekly cycles of prospecting, pitching and closing new accounts. You have a passion for the company’s mission, a positive, team-oriented attitude, and the motivation to grow with the company.

 

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing business development strategy for new areas of growth, while effectively leveraging existing users to acquire new accounts
  • Analyzing feedback from users to inform future decisions and strategy, and tracking all data in a customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Working in collaboration with the our internal teams to advance new accounts through the sales funnel.
  • Traveling to in-person meetings with prospective users to develop key relationships and pitch and close new accounts
  • Proactively assisting the team to improve their productivity, providing feedback and leadership directive as needed
 

About You:

You have exemplary organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly establish relationships of trust with existing and prospective users. You are also able to use your previous experiences in the industry to understand and clearly articulate the strength and value proposition of our app to our user base.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales or business development with a proven track record of success
  • Confident personality and willing to go above and beyond for our prospective and current users
  • Driven to succeed and hit monthly growth quota and goals
  • Able to communicate with a diverse user base (bilingual is a major plus)
  • Established contacts and experience in the hospitality industry
  • Enjoy working autonomously
  • Background in a fast-paced startup would be an advantage
