Front Porch Farm is a 110-acre diverse organic farm situated on the Russian River just 10 minutes from downtown Healdsburg in Northern California. Our roughly 14 acre vineyard is accompanied by 10 acres of vegetables and berries, 4 acres of cut flowers, 3 acres of Floriani flint corn, and a plethora of fruit trees. We produce around 1500 cases a year from our certified organic vineyards planted exclusively with Rhone varieties.

Job description

We are looking for a qualified and energetic individual to drive the sales and marketing of our burgeoning wine program. The wine sales manager will be working closely with our winemaker, Sebastien Pochan, who holds over 25 years of experience working with Rhone varieties. In addition, the manager will be collaborating with our farm management team on integrated marketing strategies and event planning. This is a part-time position that could evolve into full time depending on growth of our wine program.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Host farm tours and tastings
• Manage and expand our local direct wholesale accounts
• Manage the relationship with our wholesale distributor
• Maintain and expand our media presence through social media and mailing lists
• Explore new markets and sales avenues

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years experience working in wine sales/marketing
• Experience in event planning a plus
• Customer service oriented
• Creative, outgoing, and independent
• Interested in organic farming

 

Our goal is to find someone who can coalesce with the vision and principles of Front Porch Farm and who wishes to be a part of a diverse operation. Compensation (depending on experience) will include a base salary, commission on sales as well as bonuses for reaching sales goals.
