At least one-year experience cooking or prepping in food service environment, Flexible availability, NYC Food Handlers License or willingness to obtain one upon hire, Excellent customer service skills, Knowledge of food safety/health code standards, health inspection procedures, Able to lift and carry at least 20 lbs.
Responsibilities:
• Prepping and making breakfast/lunch sandwiches, roasting veggies, making sauces, spreads, jams, granolas, oatmeal and toasts etc.
• Assisting other coworkers, occasionally operating Square POS system
• Providing efficient and friendly customer service
• Maintaining sanitation and orderliness of all equipment and supplies
• Following principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring safety standards are followed
• Keeping a clean and organized BOH, customer seating area, and bathroom throughout the shift
• Occasionally assisting with ordering from vendors, receiving shipments
• Ensuring store is well-stocked and maintained
• Loading and unloading dishwasher, cleaning BOH and FOH floors, windows, emptying garbage, etc.
