The Marketing Communications Coordinator supports the implementation of marketing and community involvement strategies and tactics, as developed by the Marketing Communication Director and ensures the consistent presentation of Veritable Vegetable’s (VV) brand and messaging to internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales efforts: development of collateral and materials, product and grower promotion campaigns, market research, and preparation and attendance of sales events.

• Research, write and edit content for emails, newsletters, grower profiles and other communication materials in accordance with content calendar.

• Manage production of all email campaigns and provide support for issues with email programs and email templates.

• Maintain email list serve health, contacts and email subscriptions.

• Manage content creation and distribution for website and blog.

• Attend weekly product meetings and act as liaison between marketing, purchasing and sales departments.

• Schedule, manage and monitor social media accounts and platforms on a daily basis.

• Support Community Engagement Director with the coordination of educational tours, sponsorships, donation requests, award and grant research and VV’s participation in events and conferences.

• Maintain internal programs including schwag distribution, staff recognition, photo wall maintenance, Farm and Field trips, All Staff Meetings, Inside the Hive newsletter and signage requests.

• Ensure VV branding, messaging and style is consistent throughout all internal and external communication.

• Support other general marketing tasks as directed by the Marketing Communication Director.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in communications and marketing in sales driven business environment
• Professional experience with social media platforms, website content management, e-Commerce platforms and email marketing programs.
• Skilled in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.)
• Knowledge of sustainable food systems, desirable. 
• Experience in produce industry and distribution, desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to travel on occasion, work nights and weekends several times a year.
