Pacific Pickle Works is looking for a skilled, organized, energetic, and self motivated person to manage the production of our food products. We are a small company based in Santa Barbara, CA and make all of our products in small batches by hand. This is a full time position. See the following details:

• Conversational Spanish fluency required

 

Job responsibilities

• Work closely with management to learn all aspects of the pickle and drink mixer manufacturing business
• Constantly work to improve efficiency of the food manufacturing process and the efficiency of the production team
• Work to improve costs of food production while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Learn and manage the sourcing of all ingredients for food production. Develop relationships with existing ingredient vendors and develop new ones as necessary to improve costs and quality.
• Manage the production schedule to meet sales forecasts and regular supply of products to our distributors and customers
• Manage the scheduling of labor and resources for production
• Manage the team of kitchen employees fostering individual and team growth and development
• Closely monitor and manage ingredient and packaging materials for production using available tools and integrating others as appropriate.
• Maintain all required regulatory and certification records including overseeing the pH testing and documentation for our cannery license.
