At Murray’s we like cheese that tastes good. We work hard to find the best stuff out there, and then we work even harder to make sure it maintains the highest level quality. That’s why we developed our cave-aged program to care for the unique needs of every cheese. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals looking to expand their knowledge of cheese and cheese aging through our Cheese Cave Internship program.
As a cheese cave intern, you will learn about the art and science of affinage! This means that you’ll be caring for the cheese: washing it, rotating it, and (of course) tasting it! You will be working directly with our experienced team of affineurs as they develop each cheese to its full potential. You will also have a front row seat the R&D process and quality control.
This is a 12 week, paid 35 hour/week commitment at our warehouse in Long Island City (Queens, NY) during our warehouse hours of Monday through Friday 9AM-4:30PM. It is a temporary role, although many of our interns move into permanent positions within our warehouse, retail locations, or corporate office.
Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr +Application instructions
