MEKELBURG'S is a craft beer bar/specialty food shop, with two locations (Clinton Hill and Williamsburg), offering customers unique craft beers, cheese/meats and affordable must-haves for the home cook.  

We are looking for talented line cooks, who thrive in a fast paced environment, who can elevate our patron's culinary experience, without losing the integrity of the product.

You:

·      Are passionate about food

·      Have, at least, 1 years experience in a fast paced environment

·      Can work independently as well as on a team

·      Customer service focused – must like people

·      Industrious team player with a positive can-do attitude

Basic Responsibilities:

·      Be able to follow recipes and scale recipes where needed

·      Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space

·      Understand production and prep scheduling

·      Able to expedite food orders and prioritize the flow of food

·      Demonstrate safe food handling procedures such as dating, labeling and rotating

·      Basic preparation and cooking of meats, dressings, salads, sandwiches and other dishes

·      Be able to safely operate and clean all kitchen equipment

Weekend, holiday and evening hours will be required. We are currently seeking employees who can commit to us for at least a year.
