We are seeking a Culinary Fellow for a 9 month to year-long commitment, with an ideal September start date. The Culinary Fellow will join the Kingston Fellowship Program, which has welcomed young internationals to Chile to learn the ins and outs of hospitality for the past 4 years. The Culinary Fellow will work with the guidance of our winemaker and Hospitality Managers to combine Chilean tradition with international flair.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the creative direction of our food offerings with an eye for constantly revising and improving our wine pairings, picnic fare and lunch service
  • Prep and execute private lunches paired with Kingston wines in partnership with our winemaker and our Hospitality Managers
  • Work with our catering partners to plan and conceptualize menus for larger events
  • Expand sourcing relationships in Casablanca Valley and the Central Chile Región
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and budget, purchasing as necessary
 

Desired Skills:

  • Proven culinary experience and creative capacity to execute a seasonal menu
  • Ideal candidates have interest in sustainable sourcing and/or internal sustainability
  • Ability to work independently and self-start
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain food and hospitality inventory
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with a diverse, bi-national team--Spanish language experience is a plus
  • More than anything, we are looking for someone fun & curious, ready to embark on a new culinary challenge!
