Company description Rodgers Greens and Roots is a certified organic farm located 30 minutes southwest of Atlanta in Douglasville, Georgia, on 64 acres of historic farmland along the Chattahoochee River. Currently, 15 acres of flat clay-loam soil are under cultivation using organic practices.  Rodgers Greens and Roots was voted Best Local Farm 2018 by Atlanta Magazine.

We are not your average farm. Ashley Rodgers, the farm’s Owner and Operator, has been farming in Georgia organically for the last decade. Ashley is a mid-30's entrepreneur go-getter that doesn't let anything hold her back. We strive to create a work environment that is team spirited and hardworking. We sell our produce at 2 Atlanta Farmers Markets (Peachtree Road Farmers Market and Morningside Farmers Market) and to over 25 Metro-Atlanta area restaurants, our own CSA and our largest farm partner: Fresh Harvest of Georgia. The farm’s growing style is medium-scale, mechanized production: tractors, tools and machinery, however, we are not a big AG farm. Sustainable farming practices are the backbone of Rodgers Greens and Roots: compost, cover crop, and crop rotation.

Job description We are looking to hire a hard-working and reliable individual to deliver our locally grown organic vegetables to Atlanta every Thursday. We deliver to many local Atlanta area farm-to-table restaurants and other wholesale customers! This is a great way to get a behind the scenes look at the local farm to table food movement.  Talk to local chefs

We are also looking for part-time help on the farm, so this position could be farming related as well, on other days of the week! 

Skills Required: 
-Ability to drive a 14 ft diesel box truck
-Familiarity with the City of Atlanta (mostly inside the perimeter) 
-Responsible
-Ability to lift and carry boxes of produce
-Reliable and clean driving record  

Schedule:

Thursdays, pick up the truck at the farm in Douglasville and assist with the loading up at 9 am.  Going over the 10 to 15 stop route and mapping it out.  When route is completed, bring the truck back to the farm in Douglasville
