Myers Produce is a mission-driven for-profit company. We are working to support agriculture in our region by connecting our Northeast farmers to urban customers via sales and transportation. We do a ton of physical work, and we are constantly solving logistical puzzles, both online and on-the-ground. We care a lot about the work that we do, and we are looking for someone to join our team who will not only work hard, but who will care about our mission as much as we do!
We are currently a team of fifteen people, including five individuals based in NYC.
The NYC Operations Assistant role will include the following responsibilities:
The ideal candidate:
• Is extremely detail-oriented
• Is an excellent communicator via email, text message, and phone call
• Is able to describe our product offerings and services to customers
• Has experience working with fresh produce
• Has experience working in food-related wholesale or retail sales
• Has experience working in delivery, logistics, or dispatch
• Has experience driving commercial vehicles in NYC
• Is capable of comfortably driving an 18-foot cabover box truck
• Is able to shift their own schedule to accommodate drivers' vacation requests
• Has a clean driving record Compensation this position is : salaried, varies DOE, $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 Application instructions
Myers Produce is a regional distributor operating out of Brooklyn, NY, Western Massachusetts, and Northern Vermont. We buy fruit and vegetables from small, primarily organic farms in Vermont and Massachusetts, and sell these products to wholesale customers in New York City and the Boston area. Job description We are seeking an individual to become the NYC Operations Assistant on our team. This is a full-time position.Myers Produce is a mission-driven for-profit company. We do a ton of physical work, and we are constantly solving logistical puzzles, both online and on-the-ground. We care a lot about the work that we do, and we are looking for someone to join our team who will not only work hard, but who will care about our mission as much as we do!

The NYC Operations Assistant role will include the following responsibilities:
- To assist our NYC Operations Manager with city logistics & outreach
- To visit potential/current wholesale customers within New York City.
- To enter sales and purchasing data into our records throughout the week
- To drive one "long-distance" round-trip route to Hamden, NY each Tuesday
- To drive one delivery route within NYC each Wednesday (with a partner)
- To ride passenger for one short delivery route within NYC each Thursday
- To participate in team brainstorming as our business grows and evolves
The ideal candidate:
