Company description St. John Creamery is an owner-operated raw goat milk dairy located in Stanwood, WA, halfway between Bellingham and Seattle. We are passionate about goats, animals, raw food and education. St. John Creamery is home to a herd of 100 something goats, Anatolian Shepherds, chickens, cats, baby goats, a cow, parrots and a crew of animal-obsessed, service oriented individuals with a constant desire to learn and grow.  Internship description When you join us you learn all facets of dairying.  Milking, processing that milk and bottling it, feeding the animals, mucking the barns, loading hay, grazing the herd on the acres of open space around us.  If you want to learn more - I can teach you the medical side of the animals, birthing, problem solving health issues, cheese making, and so many more things!

This is really demanding work - we work every holiday.  The goats get milked year round, but they are the most delightful herd you will ever meet!  They are silly, sweet, inquisitive and the most joyful creatures on the planet.  Their attitudes are contagious!  

We are a drug free farm.  It's too hard to have half the crew "chilling" forcing the other half to work harder than needed.  Smoking and occasional drinking is fine - no hard core alcoholics please (even if you don't think you have a problem- a six pack a night is too much)

No experience necessary.  Just a good "can do" attitude and someone who can get along with others in our community is what we are looking for.  If you like to learn and are an animal freak - this will be the best job you ever had! Compensation this position is : stipend / non-monetary compensation
