THE ROLE

Gotham Greens has an immediate opening for an exceptional individual to work directly with the Gotham Greens Marketing team. This role will help develop and articulate Gotham Greens’ visual brand across a variety of print and digital mediums. The ideal candidate is an exceptional designer and content creator who is passionate about sustainable agriculture, well informed on local and regional food culture and embraces Gotham Greens’ core values and mission. Prior experience in the natural and organic food industry is a plus but not required. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-motivated and creative individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative, disruptive company in the 21st century food system. Gotham Greens is in the midst of national expansion opening in a handful of new cities across the US.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Production Design

• Set up InDesign and Illustrator files according to print specifications
• Contribute to post-production editing of photography and video content + review proofs
• Provide design ideas and support for a variety of promotional materials, including signage, advertisements, and web graphics
• Ensure that projects adhere to the Gotham Greens style guide

Internal Documents and Templates

• Help catalog and update Gotham Greens’ design files and image library to ensure accessibility
• Create new templates for internal documentation, including power point decks, greenhouse signage, SOPs and other employee resources.

Content Creation

• Create social media content for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Assist Marketing + Brand Manager in formatting monthly marketing recap documents
• Create and update website content in preparation for launch this summer
• Design signage + print collateral for internal and external events
• Assist on photoshoots, including styling, set up and break down

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• 1-3 years work experience with a degree in graphic design or related field
• Video production and editing skills
• Proficiency working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and a strong understanding of layout and typography
• Understanding of file setup for print design and production with an eye for detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and share insights clearly
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
