Company description Chapel Hill Creamery is a farmstead cheese company, founded in 2001.  We milk Animal Welfare Approved Jersey cows and produce a variety of cheeses which have achieved national recognition.  Our quality control standards are stringent, and we pay critical attention to the details of the process, from grass to finished product, in order to achieve an excellent, consistent product.

In addition to an initial training program, we offer ongoing educational sessions on topics ranging from sensory evaluation of cheeses to chemical safety.  We offer competitive starting pay, a profit sharing retirment contribution, and a hard working but rewarding work environment.  We are certified by Orange County Living Wage. Responsibilities include:
Learning our cheeses, from milk to mouth
Lots of cleaning and sanitation during the cheese making process
Participating in cheese ripening, affinage, sensory evaluation, and packaging
Sampling and selling our cheeses and our whey fed pork at farmers markets, demos, and special events

Qualifications include:
Experience in food production
Love of cheeses
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to accomplish the physical work efficiently and accurately
Ability to manage the paperwork associated with make procedures and food safety program
