Manas Ranch Custom Meats is a small USDA inspected meat processing facility and deli located in Esparto, California (about 40 miles NW of Sacramento, Ca.). Our butchers cut beef, pork, lamb, goats and game from whole carcasses. Our butchers also make sausages, hams, bacon, and other smoked products. We are in need of at least one meat packer who would not only place meat cuts in packages, but also cry--o-vac and label and place in freezer, and possibly also cut/trim. This is a full time position, M-F.
We are looking for a meat packer who can recognize meat cuts, package raw meats, label and cry-o-vac. This person may also be expected to cut/trim meat cuts, and assist in grinding for hamburger and sausages. We smoke sausages, hams, bacons, and need someone who can remove these items from the smoker, slice and package and cry-o-vac, then place in freezer. Cut rooms are maintained at approximately 44 degrees. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. HACCP training helpful but not required.
