Job descriptionJob Description
The FOH Manager will be required to run the shift, making sure Bellina Alimentari is providing an excellent level of service and that every guest is provided with an incredible experience. In order to achieve these goals, FOH managers are expected to help our team members perform their jobs to the best of their ability; to solve problems our staff encounter; to mitigate guest issues and develop relationships with our guests; and to maintain the level of cleanliness and aesthetic pleasantness of the whole restaurant space that guests and staff have come to expect.
The FOH manager should be the best set of hands and eyes on the floor. This means leading by example for the rest of our staff: always maintaining a welcoming, warm and positive attitude; working with a sense of urgency while exuding composure and calm; jumping into any given task where your help is needed and recognizing when team members are getting weeded and need help; demonstrating cooperation and tackling every task or problem with aplomb.
This is a salaried position. Salary will be determined by candidate experience.
Qualifications
Candidates must have the following experience and characteristics:
- At least four years of restaurant and hospitality experience
- A solid foundation of wine and food knowledge
- Efficient multi-tasker
- Critical thinker
- Self-starter
- Team player
- Capable communicator
- A positive and warm attitude.
- Responsible and professional money-handling skills
- An interest and passion for food and wine
- A drive to learn, challenge themselves and be passionate about helping others achieve the same
Preferred candidates will have the following:
- Retail experience
- ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge of proper food handling
- College education
