Company description Picadilly Farm is a family farm, owned and operated by Jenny and Bruce Wooster since 2006. We grow certified organic produce on 30 acres, for 800+ Community Supported Agriculture shareholders and local wholesale. The farm is located on 71 acres of rural farmland in southwest New Hampshire, in the Connecticut River valley, just over the state line from Northfield, MA, 20 minutes from Brattleboro VT, and half an hour from both Greenfield MA and Keene NH. We employ about 20 people each year, both part and full time, for durations as needed.  Employment durations vary by the person and the postion, typically ranging from just a few summer months, from April through November, or from March through December.   Job description

Field Crew employees are involved in a wide variety of tasks on the farm. A majority of the work entails harvesting, washing, packing, and distributing farm produce. The job also includes greenhouse and field planting, field chores like mulching and trellising, irrigation set-up, general farm clean-up and upkeep, and occasional animal chores. All Field Crew participate in hoeing and hand weeding, often for several hours a day during the summer months. Field Crew may be trained in the use and maintenance of farm tractors and equipment, depending on skills and interest.

Hours of work range from 20-55 weekly, depending on the person.

The 2019 starting wage is $13.25 per hour. Benefits include a share of farm produce, farm shop discount, paid sick time, paid holiday premiums, annual field gear and professional development stipends, plus potential for an annual bonus. Long-term employees will have the option to participate in our matching IRA. Farm housing is not available.

RIght now we're hiring for work from now through Thanksgiving, as well as beginning next Spring for the 2020 season, or both!
