FARFA is looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a positive difference. This part-time administrative assistant position provides important support to our two full-time staff: the executive director and the director of communications & outreach.
 

Some of the work can be done from your home, but you will need to be at the office in Cameron (Milam County) approximately once a week. You can expect to work an average of 10 hours/week, although hours can vary significantly week-to-week.


Responsibilities include:
• Membership management: Entering donations and memberships into our database; monitoring accuracy of the data; searching data and running reports (training will be provided for our specific member management system).
• Member support and outreach: Ensuring members receive the benefits that correspond with their membership level.
• Generate, maintain, and manage financial documents, including monthly tax filings and quarterly tax forms
• General administrative support: supply inventory, mailings, bulk printing, and expense tracking.
• Attending our annual conference (held at a different location in Texas each year), overseeing the registration/information table and working with our amazing volunteers.
• Assisting with printing and distribution of the quarterly newsletters and fundraising letters.


Qualifications:
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including being comfortable with creating and editing Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience with mail merges.
• Comfortable interacting with the public.
• Able to learn a contact management system; previous experience not necessary but would be a plus.
• Able to travel to Cameron approximately once a week.
