Overview: Mythical seeks an experienced, resourceful and creative-minded Culinary Associate Producer to collaborate with on a wide range of incredibly unique food-related content.  If recreating discontinued fast food items, developing a blood taco, and finding the best way to cook a Christmas dinner in a coffee maker sounds appealing -- this is the job for you! 

Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Senior Culinary Producer and Culinary Producer  to create a variety of food content that appears on Good Mythical Morning, Good Mythical More, Let’s Talk About That and a growing slate of new shows.  

• Contribute creative and executable food ideas during brainstorming sessions that enhance the comedy of each episode
• Test and develop recipes for different episodes and effectively communicate the results to Writers and Producers
• Take abstract concepts like “what if Taco Bell was a funnel cake?” and turn it into a tasty and camera-ready dish
• Be able to complete shopping lists in a timely manner and source difficult-to-find items such as possum meat, fresh durian, and Filipino milkfish pâté
• Work with the Production team to manage receipts and reconcile expenses
• Manage kitchen organization and cleanliness to ensure the space is always in working order
• Wash and organize appliances, serveware and cooking utensils

Requirements: 

• Passion for food, cooking, and recipe development
• 1-2 years experience cooking and creating food content in a video production environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented 
• Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with a variety of industrial kitchen appliances and tools
• Ability to quickly learn how to use unique kitchen gadgets (cotton candy machine, food dehydrator, immersion circulator, etc.)
• Experience managing a budget and reconciling expenses
• Expertise in food styling is a plus
