The Heirloom Chef (www.theheirloomchef.com)  is a personal chef service for busy, health conscious individuals and families. We prepare all meals in-home with the highest quality local and organic ingredients. We specialize in updating comfort food with nourishing, high quality ingredients. We are chefs who are focused on building relationships that nourish our clients and our communities at large.

Our dishes are totally customized to meet special dietary needs including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, AIP, and Paleo.

We are looking to expand our team of chefs and add another chef to work with us for 15-25 hours a week. Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Shopping for groceries
• Designing creative meal plans that meet clients’ dietary needs 
• Storing foods
• Providing clients with simple reheating or preparation instructions
• Cleaning up
• Keeping up-to-date on culinary trends and techniques
• Marketing company and services
• Maintaining good customer relations
• Understanding nutritional needs
• Maintaining safe food-handling skills

We are looking for chefs 

•  Who see their work with The Heirloom Chef as aligning with the trajectory of their career
• With at least 2-3 years experience in the culinary field, either restaurant or other venues (catering, youth health education, retreat center cooking, etc.)
• Has had training in preparing a wide range of foods, culinary school or on the job training
• ServeSafe certified 
• Customer service experience and excellent communication skills that translate well into working with clients in their homes
• Experience in cooking for therapeutic and specific diets
• Access to a car to transport food to and from clients’ homes
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check
