The brick-and-mortar has been open for 24 months and quickly garnered national recognition from Bon Appetit magazine and a number of local-to-Maine publications. The bakery works closely with a number of local businesses and sources produce, flour, meats, and cheeses within the state of Maine.
Job description
Belleville is currently seeking an experienced baker to fill its growing team. The ideal candidate will have dough lamination and mixing experience and at least 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen. Applicants must be willing to work early mornings (4 am) and weekends. We strive to give employees one weekend day off and two days off in a row. The position requires intense attention to detail, hustle, and hard work. We aim to produce perfect croissants and pizza every day. Job responsibilities and requirements include:
- lamination experience
- pastry cream experience
- maintaining and designing recipes
- scaling and mixing doughs and pastry creams
- exhibiting time management skills
- self directing during slow periods
- exhibiting meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- performing physical tasks
We offer a generous employee pooled tip policy in addition to an hourly wage and paid time off.
Compensation
this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $14.00 - $16.00
