Job description
The Position
The Front of House Supervisor of Caffè Panna will be the leader of the guest experience and, perhaps more importantly, the FOH team member experience. The FOH Supervisor ensures the delivery of excellent service and product, and maintains exceptional cleanliness in the store environment. The FOH Supervisor is the example of excellence to the whole Panna team, and reports directly to the Owner.
 

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise, coach, support, and train all front of house staff on shift
  • Ensure delivery of generous and excellent guest service 
  • Record inventory of paper goods, supplies, coffee bar, and ice cream
  • Assign team members stations for each shift
  • Always seek to improve processes and flow
  • Take initiative on creating new systems to improve store performance
  • Exemplify hospitality and product understanding 
  • Scoop and assemble beautiful cups and cones with toppings 
  • Scoop and assemble beautiful affogatos and affogato sundaes
  • Train the team on preparing coffee beverages, affogatos, sundaes, and more
  • Record shift notes in the log and communicate effectively with other supervisors
  • Assist on store maintenance initiatives (including but not limited to pest control, internet, laundry, outside cleaning services, equipment services)
  • Lead the team in setting up for service with an intimate knowledge of opening procedures
  • Lead the closing at front of house at the end of service with an intimate knowledge of closing procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness of every FOH store procedure
  • Exemplify excellence with the uniform
 

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Have at least 4 days of open availability per week 
  • Management experience preferred
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Can stand on your feet for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
