Company description

Clean Food Farm is a 10 acre diversified certified organic nutrient dense blueberry, pastured poultry farm located in the Orting Valley, near the town of Orting WA.

  We are about 65 minutes drive from Seattle. We are expanding our vegetable operation to direct market all our produce and fruit through a CSA, at farmers markets and through localvore caterers. We are 98% complete with our commercial kitchen and on-site farm-to-table facility for up to 45 guests.

We have substantial infrastructure in place that includes greenhouse, electric fencing, hand and power tools, tractor and implements, commercial refrigeration, washing/packing equipment, poultry processing equipment, solar powered egg washer/grader and shop facility.

We have a separate/private new 2 BR farm apartment with, laundry, full bath, kitchen, on-site with lots of great sunsets and scenery. Monthly generous organic food allowance from farm and markets, paid utilities, storage space, internet, etc

Well behaved dogs/cats welcome (on a case-by-case basis) as property is fully fenced with NZ style secure electric fencing, gates etc.

Job description

 Operate pastured egg organic poultry operation (25 hours per week) includes one day weekly year round farmers market (in Seattle) (with regular assistance/participation from owners). Manage and work in organic nutrient dense blueberry production (pruning, fertility management, U Pick initially and value added products in future). Assist with farm-to-table events as needed.

Need to have mechanical experience to perform farm equipment maintenance and repairs (small engines, tractor and implement maintenance and some minor repairs), irrigation system maintenance. Experience operating tractors and power equipment helpful.

Other duties as assigned.

Required to operate delivery van occasionally for markets and restaurants. Must have reasonably good driving record-will require an MVR check.
