Company description Lotus Scoop is a local Brooklyn ice cream company.  We manufacture and distribute Caribbean, Soulful and Latin flavors that resonate with the diverse NYC neighborhoods. We are sold at major supermarkets around the region like ShopRite, as well as big discount chains such as Key Food and Western Beef and lots of smaller stores in between.  We love Brooklyn and it loves us back. Job description Lotus Scoop seeks a focused, quiet, organized and physically strong person with commercial kitchen experience to make and pack ice cream pints.  There is a lot of heavy lifting of cream buckets and fruit crates. We make continuous batches of fresh ice cream all day.  The position requires set-up and deep clean up of equipment, daily prep for production, full-scale batch production, labeling, organizing and packing.  You don't need to know how to make ice cream, we will train you.  Much of the work is done in a team of two people. The atmosphere is very quiet, orderly and independent.  Great for those who like to work in small teams and with a focused, meditational flow.  English is NOT required but it helps.
