Monfefo began in 2013 in a kitchen in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Now, 4 years later we are a team of people that manufacture the best tasting, highest quality organic ginger and turmeric shots on the market. We hand-make in small batches daily fresh cold-pressed organic root juice blended with citrus juice and honey, which we bottle and then ship out to stores. Every batch is made with care and detail, ensuring that we produce an excellent product everyday. Our drinks have no additives, preservatives or things you can’t pronounce. It is simply the root, fruit and nectar.

We are part of a generation of food manufacturers here to change what our supermarket should look like. Our accounts include; Whole Foods, Mom's, Citarella, Fairway, FreshDirect, Erewhon, King’s and over 1,000 more locations. We like good music, good vibes and all things healthy.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, positive production manager to lead our production team and run our factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. 

 

The ideal candidate has experience working in wholesale food & beverage production, is HACCP and PCQI certified, is an expert in Food Safety, and has a light background in food science (preferable if graduated with a Bachelor of Science). 

 

This person will work directly with the Founder to:

 
  • Grow and optimize production with better organization, improved process and creative thinking.
  • Deal with the State and USDA for yearly inspections and always pass with flying colors. 
  • Motivate and grow a team. This includes recruiting new staff and training the team properly to make production run efficiently per food safety standards.
  • Creating better team manuals & documentation.
  • Maintain inventory; work directly with suppliers and optimize costs. Source new suppliers as necessary.
  • Able to foresee future growth and plan production based on weekly PO’s. Maintains FIFO.
 

We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience at a similar food start-up or mature food & beverage brand. Key skills, experiences, and interests include:

 
  • High level of computer literacy including use of organizational tools
  • A love for cleanliness, organization, efficiency, and process creation
  • Experience with the wholesale business model (refrigerated beverage a plus)
  • Enjoys working with a team and breaking through barriers. Is able to handle what comes flying their way with positivity and kindness
  • Light engineering experience
  • A passion for health and wellness
