Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring quality of products being packaged and produced, following regulatory standards
- Management of kitchen staff and getting kitchen setup for whatever task(s) of the day in an efficient manner
- Run, oversee and delegate tasks for processing vegetables into fermented products, including setup and cleanup.
- Set up, operate and monitor various kitchen equipment
- Managing ingredient inventory and quality assurance
- Schedule production shifts to process vegetables for fermentation
- Manage and follow product recipes
- Complete required documentation for each product
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced
- Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
- Complete cleaning checklist at end of shift
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Requirements:
* Reliable and team oriented
* Good personal organization and motivation
* Experience or willingness to learn supervising others
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic math skills
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
