Our goal is to provide exceptional, fresh and eclectic comfort foods that make every guest that walks through our doors feel at home. Job descriptionWe are looking for an exceptional Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to join us at The Egg’s Nest in High Falls NY.
In addition to working on the line, this position will also oversee and supervise food preparations and maintain quality control, proper food handling and storage, inventory oversight, and making sure that all dishes follow standard recipes and portions. This position will monitor cost control measures and effective and timely use of product in order to maintain maximum freshness, maximize restaurant profits and reduce loss. Creativity and help designing weekly specials that highlight farms and local vendors is encouraged.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas:
Proven work history with references
Progressive resume with line experience in both cold and hot preparations
Be able to follow directions and recipes in accordance with the quality standards set forth by The Egg’s Nest ownership and authorized management
Servsafe training desirable
Be able to read recipes and understand measurements and portion controls
Be self motivated and able to accomplish work as assigned
Be able to work days, nights, and holidays as scheduled
We're looking for the right leader to run our kitchen on a day-to-day basis and to help us grow the business in various ways in the long-term including through events, catering, and potential expansion.
